Marketing for CEX Listings
Growgami runs the full marketing campaign around a centralized exchange listing: pre-listing community heat, day-of creator coordination across timezones, and a planned post-listing content cadence for the first 14 days. We work with projects listing on tier-1 and tier-2 exchanges, on first listings and on upgrades between exchange tiers. The objective is durable volume, not a one-day spike.
The Challenge
The listing is locked in but the campaign isn't
Exchanges set the announcement window, often with short embargoes. Without a pre-built campaign ready to fire on confirmation, the listing arrives faster than the marketing can.
Day-one volume followed by a cliff
Initial listing volume often collapses within 48-72 hours when rotating traders exit. Without a planned content cadence for the following two weeks, the chart tells a worse story than the project.
Creator coverage clusters in one timezone
Most projects brief creators last-minute, get posts within a single window, and watch coverage go quiet for the remaining 20 hours of the launch day. A global listing needs global choreography.
No plan for FUD and unlock chatter
Tokenomics questions, unlock concerns, and team allocations get re-litigated on every major listing. Without a prepared response and vetted community voices, the project goes silent during the first sell wave.
Upgrading from tier-2 to tier-1 with the same playbook
A tier-1 listing is not a bigger tier-2 listing — the audience, scrutiny, and competing attention are different. Re-running the old playbook on a bigger stage is the most common reason projects under-perform their listing.
How Growgami Solves This
Pre-listing community heat sprint
A 2-4 week embargoed pre-listing campaign: teaser content, creator seeding, community AMAs, and a clear day-one narrative. The audience meets the listing already warm rather than cold.
Day-of KOL coordination across timezones
Staggered creator activations across APAC, EU, and US so coverage compounds across a full 24 hours. Embargoed briefs, time-windowed posting slots, and follow-up posts in the first 72 hours.
Volume retention content cadence
A 14-day post-listing calendar covering founder threads, ecosystem updates, creator follow-up posts, and any exchange-approved trading promotions. The launch becomes a campaign instead of an announcement.
FUD response playbook
Mapped responses to the predictable FUD lines (tokenomics, unlocks, team, custodian), with vetted community members and creators briefed to respond in their own voice. Preparation, not astroturfing.
Multi-tier listing strategy
For projects upgrading from a tier-2 or tier-3 listing to a tier-1, a separate plan that treats the upgrade as its own launch — new narrative, new audience, new creator wave, new retention cadence. The old chart is not the new story.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does CEX listing marketing cost?
Most listing campaigns run between $25,000 and $150,000 depending on exchange tier, creator scope, and the length of the pre- and post-listing windows. A focused tier-2 listing with a mid-size creator wave starts around $25-40K. A tier-1 listing with a global creator footprint and a 14-day post-listing cadence runs $80-150K+. // FACTCHECK: ranges are Growgami client-side estimates.
How early should we engage you before the listing date?
Ideally 4-6 weeks before the listing date, even if the listing itself is under embargo. The earlier the engagement, the more pre-listing community heat we can build and the better the day-of creator choreography. Engaging less than two weeks out limits the work to day-of execution and post-listing retention.
Do you work with projects pre-listing, post-listing, or both?
Both, and ideally as one connected engagement. Most projects engage us in the pre-listing window and we carry through day-of execution and the 14-day post-listing cadence as one campaign. We also take on post-listing-only engagements for projects whose initial listing under-performed and need a retention reset.
Can you help if the listing didn't go well?
Yes. Post-listing recovery is a real workstream: rebuilding narrative, restarting creator coverage with a new angle, reviving community cadence, and rebuilding trust with the existing holder base. We are direct about what is possible — marketing can rebuild the story, but it cannot fix a fundamentally weak token, broken tokenomics, or lack of product-market fit. If those underlying issues exist, we will say so before taking the engagement.
What's a typical engagement length?
A single-listing engagement typically runs 6-10 weeks: 2-4 weeks pre-listing, the listing window itself, and the 14-day post-listing cadence. Projects often continue into a longer growth engagement after the listing, but the listing campaign is scoped as a discrete sprint.
What chains and exchanges have you worked with?
Growgami has supported VC-backed projects across major L1s and L2s — EVM chains, Solana, and others — with go-to-market work spanning token launches, exchange listings, and post-listing retention. We don't publicly name specific exchange relationships, since most exchange-side marketing is conducted under NDA, but we can walk through relevant prior work in a call.
